Rest routine?

Your muscles need rest to grow, usually 24-48 hours... this I know. What I'm not understanding is should I not work out at all or not on the same muscle group. I've been serious about using this app again and doing research to get my body in prime shape and rest is so important.

So my question, should I have a rest routine?

Regardless I'll be doing something physical everyday, like walks with my son and I also work as a bus monitor and you'd be surprised with the up and down the steps and "the squat" I actually get a mini without twice a day.

So I'm really just wondering if anyone agrees with the idea to schedule in rest?

Listen to your body. A good night sleep is rest enough for most people. Work hard - sleep like a baby. That's all you need. Your nutrition will also dictate the quality repair rest offers.

Two or three days of good exercise depends on how your body reacts and than a rest day. Thats the best. But make sure training day means train hard or go home.
