Why do you "need" to be skinny? Is it something you want or do you feel you need it because of other people?
Anyways, for losing fat nothing is more important than diet. The working out merely tones you and makes you more fit. Cut out sugar, soda and fast foods, drink more water and eat more vegetables.

There's a big difference in getting skinny and becoming bikini-fit.
If you just wanna get skinny quick you simply have to stop eating (resp. only veggies and water) - but this is not what I would recommend!!! You will binge eat for sure, lose all your muscles and become a lethargic wreck.
For bikini fitness start eating healthy, watch your intake (nutrition and overall balance) and start working out, preferably mostly work on the big muscles (legs & bum) and add a lot of cardio. Thus you will boost your metabolism and burn more than you consume. Depending on your body state you will become bikini fit within 3 to 12 months.
