So I was insanely excited on Friday because I lost 2 lbs last week ... I worked out tonight then stepped on the scale and I have gained the 2lbs back

This can be just due to gaining muscle. Muscle tissue is denser than fat, that's why you may gain a little in the beginning. Keep up the good work, you will lose it again. Make sure to incorporate enough cardio in your routine.

Try weighing yourself daily at the same time. It will help you understand how your bodyweight fluctuates. I did it last December and no longer freak out

Normally when you gain 1 or 2lbs its because of the food you've had that day. Its like that for me and when I use the restroom its 2lbs less

A few pound fluctuations are normal while exercising, it can also be simple water weight... Don't get discouraged and keep pushing.
