I have a hard time staying focused in the gym. I feel like I jump from machine to machine and don't know much about certain muscles and the importance of focusing on specific muscles or the workouts to do for them.

Focus on one thing at a time. Research different workout routines. Google leg day workout, arm workout, back workout etc. And stick to those routines get good at them and then change it up
