So I've been away from this app and from training for about a month.
I had the worse month ever first I got food poisoning, then when I finally recovered from that I went back training and whilst doing some very light shoulder presses I tore a ligament in my shoulder. Luckily it wasn't a really bad tear and through good physio and good nutrition i healed quickly.
Today I was first day back in the gym and I actually think I'll make more progress now than if I hadn't of got injured and had to take a break.
The lessons I've learn from all this is:
#1: never ever force yourself to train
#2: if you're one of those people (ME included) that thinks taking a break from training is going to lead to weight gain and lazines, IT DOESN'T!!
#3: ALWAYS ALWAYS LISTEN TO YOUR BODY.
Welcome back:) you're completely right with rest days and breaks. Many do too much and wonder they don't see more progress. Even the danger of injuries is increasing.
