I've been working out and really trying to lose weight for the past 2 months. My weight at first was very stagnant. I'm 5'1" and weighed 132 in the beginning. Today I wanted to cry because the scale said 137.5. I looked in the mirror at my body and realized, I lost fat and gained muscle. My arms are more defined than they've ever been, I flexed and felt actual muscle. I tightened my legs and felt rock hard thighs and a tight butt. I looked and saw my stomach wasn't as bloated, no abs....yet.
My post is to remind you that muscle weighs more than fat. If you're gaining weight at points, look at your body and see if its more fat or more muscle. Just because you gain weight doesn't mean you should give up on living healthier. I now no longer work out to lose weight, I do it be healthier and happier with my body. I don't think I've ever had this much muscle and its an awesome feeling!!
