Working within a somewhat tight schedule. Eating supper after work (5pm) doesn't go well with working out even within the next hour or two ...so ... myth that eating after 8 messes up ones system ? curious...

mostly a myth. Avoiding eating at night works for some ppl because if you limit the time you allow yourself to eat, you might end up eating less. It's the same way that any diet with easy to remember blanket restrictions works. It has nothing to do with "you don't use the calories while sleeping so they turn to fat" which I believe is just wrong/a myth. 

It's all in how much you eat and how much you exercise, when is a matter of what feels best for you.

Amen. I hate those eating myths. I mostly eat way after 9pm and it didn't keep me from losing. Rest 30mins after work, then train, then eat. Nothing bad about it
