Sprained ankle but want to workout
Hi I've badly sprained my ankle and have been told it will be up to 8 weeks before it's better. I don't want to start getting flabby and pile on weight while I'm inactive. Does anyone have any ideas of things I can do that would work when I can't stand or weight bear through that ankle? Thanks
Hi there, well just try and do excersises that dont need your legs/ feet. For example lift weights whilst sitting down .hope this helped!
You could still try crunches, your ankle shouldnt feel to much pressure. Bicycle crutches, v-sit and leg lifts if your ankle can tolerate to movement. Also push ups and tricep push ups from off your knees. Hope this helps
Thanks both I will definitely have a go. I normally do a lot of barre workouts and boxercise so I went into panic mode when I knew they were off limits. Thans again :-)
