Hey everyone im wondering if it is a bad thing to rest a little longer then the alotted rest time during a workout? I always finnish the workouts and im not taking more then a min in between just feel like ive really gotta catch my breath after certain exercises
Well rest at your own pace. As you cintinue to work out the rest should get shorter. Example, today you work out you take 40 sec breaks then a month later you're down to 30 sec then 10 then a break after a few sets. So in other words you endurance should build as you continue to work out. Give it all you got! Keep up the hard work!
I don't necessarily follow "allotted" rest times, but rather rest times that are unique to my goals. If I am seeking a hard burn and focusing on muscle endurance, my rest periods will be shorter. If I am seeking strength or power, my rest periods may be extended.
