I was never the BEST at basketball but I really want to improve my game for my high school team! I'm trying to run a 5k in half an hour without stopping to walk, reducing my eating, and tone my abs and legs before the end of summer. Wish me luck? Any tips? Not sure if long distance running is the best prep for basketbal inprovement though :-)
If its a requirement for tryouts than you should train the longer run indeed. For a sport as basketbal conditioning i would mainly do sprint interval training and tabata based workouts.
