Heavy weights. Bodybuilders who lift heavy become temporarily shorter. ... I regularly do heavy barbell squats, but had been taking a break. ... This study established that lifting does make you shorter.

yup, this is indeed technically true. just as you are taller when you first wake up and shrink as the day goes on... its usually not by much... but gravity and the weight lifting compresses the disks in your spine... as you sleep all should relax and basically re inflate... making you taller...

Your talking fractions of a fraction on this shrinking deal. Compresstion and shrinking is different. If you compress all the water out of a sponge it will be "shorter" or "thinner" in a way of looking at it. When you rehydrate the sponge it returns to its form. Just the way you compress your joints they become thinner... you dont shrink until you get older and thats just because the disks are becoming thinner (by age) and the vertabria become closer together... youre not shrinking a shirt... youre compressing joints

Duuuuude you need to quit saying lifting heavy is making you short..... i dont know where youre getting your info.
