Sleeping and weight

Well, I know I don t sleep enought . Maybe 5,6 hours a night but I sleep an added few hours a day. So how does lack of sleep affect weight, and does it make your body contain extra water so you look like you have more fat then you actually do? 💤 💤

Lack of sleep can definitely affect your weight! If you don't get enough sleep you will be heavier than if you got, say 8 hours of sleep a night. That happens because your body is not getting enough REM sleep and is then stressed out. No, lack of sleep does not cause your body to retain water - not drinking enough water or your time of the month will cause your body to retain water.

That being said, the thing that is most going to have an effect on your weight is how much you exercise.

Thanks but if I sleep during the day , is it the same as if I slept those  few extra hours during the night? 👀

I disagree although I luv exercise the thing that effects your weight the most is your diet/eating habits,

When I don't sleep 8 hours, I crave sugar to get energy and then gain weight.
