Make working out and staying active part of your routine, but don't let it overpower the more important things. I'm a mother of 3 girls 5, 2 and 9 months and I try to work out every day and stay on my workout schedule. But, life happens.
Some days my workout time is sabotaged by a fussy baby, or a toddler who thinks mommy doing push ups means horsey rides through the house, even by my five year old wanting to color or make play dough princesses. Sometimes all of these things happen at once. When this happens I oblige my children and I workout later in the day, or do two workouts the next day.
We are mothers and our duties call at the most inconvenient times, just keep going.
Love this I've got 2 boys both under 4 years old. I know how it can be sometimes.
I don't know what works for you when it comes to work out time, but I try to do it when they're distracted with something else(favorite movie or playing in their rooms) or it's naptime (:
