Safe workouts for new mom

Okay so I just had a baby six weeks ago. I don't want to tear my stitches but I'm ready to lose this weight and tone up my stomach any ideas on a safe workout routine

Rest, enjoy your baby, walk. Ask your doctor when you can resume normal activities like bike riding, jogging, exercise.
