I tried working out last time when I was really sick, and I died. I'm sick again now and hate myself cause I have no motivation to work out today.
You should focus your energy on getting well. Your body needs rest so your immune system can cure your sickness. Then, when well, ease back into you killer workouts.

I'm of the mindset to give my body rest when it tells me to. I've made myself sick through working out to hard and fatiguing my system.
Taking a day off can be a good idea, but a light workout after a day or two of rest can be a good idea too.
Pushing too hard is to be avoided whether sick or well, its just that we often don't know our limits and true condition while we are sick.
Depends on how sick you are. Atm I'm sick as well but it's just a bad throat, so after spending the whole day in bed I felt so active that I decided to do a mild workout and more focused on the lower/leg part. Didn't regret it :)
