Should I workout when I am sick?

I want to workout, but I am sick. If I workout will better for my body or worse?

If it is more of a head cold, stuffy nose or congestion your generally okay. Anything else, get some rest and drink lots of ffluids

You can do simple workouts. NOT HARD WORKOUTS

I tried working out last time when I was really sick, and I died. I'm sick again now and hate myself cause I have no motivation to work out today.

U should workout while sick,to me it's harder to do my routine,but I feel better then if I don't workout while sick

You should focus your energy on getting well. Your body needs rest so your immune system can cure your sickness. Then, when well, ease back into you killer workouts.

I think u shud nt workout wen sick becoz ur gonna lose ur immunity.....

I was sick too during Christmas it's really up to u I did one then felt better then sick again so I just did a little so I wouldn't feel to bad

It is scientifically proven that excercising when your sick allows t cells to get to the site of an infection cell faster...so yeah, work out

Contrary to most of the comments here if you are mildly sick I say go for a mild workout. 

Get the heart pumping and eat and rest well. Also the endorphins from the workout will make you feel better. 

Don't go all out. That will be counter productive. 

If in doubt , consult with you phyisician.

YES!muscles are heat activated thats why you sweat.by sweating you're cooling off your body there for reducing fever.working out boosts your immune system.WB

Yeah it all depends. How sick, how hard of a workout.

I'm of the mindset to give my body rest when it tells me to. I've made myself sick through working out to hard and fatiguing my system.

Taking a day off can be a good idea, but a light workout after a day or two of rest can be a good idea too.

Pushing too hard is to be avoided whether sick or well, its just that we often don't know our limits and true condition while we are sick.

Nope if ur sick the body needs to rest to ward of virus or bacteria.  Remember all of your sick symptoms are not from the ailment its from the body either saying" hey im sick get rest" or counter attacks to the virus or bacertia....let the body put all of its efforts into killing the virus/bacteria.

Depends on how sick you are. Atm I'm sick as well but it's just a bad throat, so after spending the whole day in bed I felt so active that I decided to do a mild workout and more focused on the lower/leg part. Didn't regret it :)
