Which workout is best for degenerate joint disease

Hi there, I have degenerate joint disease in my lower back and by doing workouts at home i want to get the best workouts and be safe at the same time are there any suggestions?

Yea...ask your doctor this question ...that is the safest and best advice anyone good give you

I know I'm suppose to do low impact but which workout is that?

Low impact workouts are workouts with one foot always on the ground..nothing that would jar the body such as jumping and plyometrics..or any other exercise tht would put stress on your joints.. its a high risk...and anyone giving you advice to which workouts to do or not do and are not medical professionals are also putting you at risk.... ask your doctor to specify what is considered an acceptable workout as well as duration and intensity...till u can talk to your doctor  Id  possibly recommend walking

I have the same, c3 to c5 and my neck.
I have to see a chiropractor once a week to help keep my back in alignment. I also have a small curvature in my C spine area, due to a bad car wreck. My chiropractor and ortho doctor told me to make sure to stretch before and after, light exercise routines, walking no running and light weight training for upper body. Lower body, I do squats up against a wall to help keep my back supported, side leg lifts and light crunches.

I would consult a specialist rather than a normal doctor though as an ortho specialist knows more about the condition.
