I was going to start my exercises today, and I woke up with the WORST neck pain. I can't move my head in any direction. It hurts to even strain my neck. Anyone have any ideas on how to help this?

Sounds like a stiff neck...hot towel, heating pad, hot water bottle and just time

Okay. I'll try that. Thanks!

After the pain goes away in a couple of days. Give it a rest. You could very well hurt it again. Happened to me when I was doing sit ups one day.

There are a few good neck stretches you can do.  Also staying hydrated is important for this.  Check out neck stretches on youtube.

Yeah, probably had a slight pinched nerve as well .. which does make it painful.

Yeah, if it wasn't any better today, I was gonna go to the doctor.. But I can at least move my head now.

From someone who has been suffering from chronic neck and back pain the last 20 years, the best thing you can do is walk and stay mobile. Ice for 20 minutes and walk some more. Sitting for extended periods is counterproductive to the healing process.

Okay. Thanks for the advice.
