Suicide Sprints are a quick way to build stamina. At your current conditioning they'll really suck at first, but stick with it and the benefits are tremendous.

Here's how to do them in more detail: http://mountainathlete.com/subpage_details.php?subpage_ID=2325&page_ID=14

What if I lack the space to do them?

Ive done interval training around my block before. Just be sure you're running down sidewalks or streets that are empty and be slow going around corners or areas where things can pop out

Hey Clifford,
Running & jump rope are excellent for building your stamina...but you need to take things to your level.
Start by
-eg. walking 1min then jog 30seconds for 15min... If it's easy, add more jogging time...if not add more walking time.
When you get comfortable, do more jogging & less walking.

You can check these sites for more info:

Same goes with the rope jumping...just build your way up step by step.
Good luck!

A great way to built up your stamina is obviously cardio. Running and jump rope are great but for less intense ways try doing laps at your local swimming pool or go for bike rides.

Burpees are good for a limited space. Jump rope. Cardio is, of course, great, but i also noticed an increase in stamina when I improved my core strength.
