Shoulder surgery

Hi everyone. I need some advice. I recently had shoulder surgery followd by physical therapy. My shoulder is still somewhat weak. Can anyone recommend some good strengthen exercises? Thanks!

I'm dealing with a strained rotator cuff right now and going for an MRI next friday. I hope I don't need surgery but I have been looking for some ideas also.. thanks for asking this question and thanks for the great advice and good ideas!

Hey welcome back to the game!

I'd start with strengthening your rotators by using a tension band. I would keep off weights for a while and use the tension bands.

Which muscle in the shoulder exactly were you operated on?

I had some bone removed from my shoulder cap, built up scar tissue removed and the small bicep tendon repaired.

Movement wise what can and can't you do? And how recent was the surgery (what was the surgery called - medical term?)

My motion is limited. I can only raise my arm level  out in front of me and raising my arm to the side is painful. I had shoulder impingement surgery.

My surgery was at the end of January. Physical therapy from Feb to April.

Ouch okay I know about that.

As I mentioned, I would stay off heavy weights or high intensity workouts.

G' luck - injuries are just obstacles that remind you how bad you want something!

I have had many injuries in my life and I am sure I will have many more. It's occupation hazard - comes with the territory!
