Resting Heart rate?

Hello,
I am 38 years old, since I run more and more, my resting Heart rate dropped from 60-65 to 45-50. My physio was worried about that as her machine rang saying too low. My blood pressure is normal my spo2 between 99 and 100%. I did full checkup a few month ago and heart was very good but resting Heart rate was higher. Is a resting Heart rate like 45-50 normal for someone running and exercising 5-6 days a week?

Congrats Hyp, your in great shape! Professional cyclist have a heartbeat of 35-40. Your heartbeat is low, cause your blood system and your most important muscle (heart) is well trained.

When I started runningyears ago, my resting heart rate was in about 75. Today it's in about 50. If your physio is worried, it's just a sign he doesn't know well about the body, which is very strange.

Be happy about your heart and keep on doing your wo as you do.

Cardio vascular training like running is good for your heart and lowers your resting heart rate and blood pressure . Well done
