Core workout w herniated disc. HELP PLS

So I’ve had an MRI. It’s a herniated disc tween L2-3. It’s been almost a year. I can golf. Do chores. Etc. I just can’t exercise my core with traditional ab workouts. They kill me within 10-15 reps.

I can plank. And I can do a stiff or bent leg raise w other leg bent while on my back.

I can’t do sit ups on floor or ball. Or many of the other core stuff I find on here. I’ve tried.

Can anyone share a few other exercises with me? It’s really the main thing holding me back from getting into a consistent workout regimen again.

I would greatly appreciate any tips. Aside from go have surgery. 😜 I plan to when timing is right.
