I was diagnosed with CFS about a year ago, my doctor told me exercise was the key to getting my energy up and not have so many relapses where I am exhausted all the time. I need to start out extremely slow, or I throw myself into an episode that can last from a day to 3 to 4 months. Anybody have some stretches or very low energy workouts they can recommend? I want to eventually build up to a moderate workout, I just need the help and motivation to start.

You could try some casual things on here. They are max 15 min. I started with core the pilates way.
I find the yoga stretch (8 min long) rely good as well.
Good luck!

Noories advice is good. Stretching or yoga is good. Bodyweight exercises are helpful too.

Don't try to do to much to start, slow and gently is the key.

Start with 1 exercise for core, 1 for upperbody and 1 for lower body. Do just a couple of reps of each, you'll be able to add more as you get stronger.

Example: Plank 5 seconds, wall press up 3 reps, lunges 3 reps each side.

I add taichi as a warm up first but any yoga or stretches are great too.
