Crunches tend to hurt my back badly.. I have back problems as it is and crunches don't help any. I need a workout that works on my core but won't involve me havin to do crunches. Suggestions please? :/
Reverse crunches. Arms straight out from your torso. Palms down. Bend knees bringing them to your chest. Extend legs back out keeping your heels from touching the floor. Focus on feeling your sacrum rocking back and forth. I have the same back problems while doing crunches and these work great for your lower abdominals.

When doing crunches, try keeping your back flat on the floor. Squeeze your abs to raise just your shoulders a couple of inches off the floor. Hold for a second and then lower your shoulders back to the floor.
