I know the basic differences between cable machine bodyweight and freeweight exercises. Would somebody please explain it thoroughly for me though. What is the major difference?
Put simply, free weights (e.g dumbbells, barbells) are used mostly - but not always - to build muscle mass. I use cable machines for exercises that improve definition, but they can be used for more than that. Not sure if that helps. Maybe others can explain it better.
