Weight lifting to lose last 10 pounds?

So I'm at 130 and want to lose about 10 more pounds before I start toning up and building a little muscle. I recently read that weight lifting in short amounts of time can help with weight loss. Should I do this? At a calorie deficit and mixed with cardio.

As long as you continue to do cardio, yeah, lifting will help

The most efficient way to lose fat is to lift weights. Weight lifting causes calorie burn for 48 hours not just the time spent on the treadmill.

AND the more muscles you have the faster your metabolism is.. meaning you burn more calories at rest. So if you build some muscle, without changing your eating habits, you will burn fat.(not necessarily lose weight coz muscle weighs more than fat). Rather focus on body fat percentage.good luck!
