Best for weight loss?

Are high intensity interval training workouts the best for weight loss? And if your looking to build a little bit more muscle but mostly tone what should you be doing? Long and slow or short intense(ish) sessions?

Hi, I have done hiit over last 3 month's and I have lost around 8 kilo weight, 4 inches on my waistline. I can see my abs well defined. Also I have modified my eating habits. If you are persistent you will achieve your goals. All the best.
