Cardio or Gym? Which is better?

Losing weight here.
Where should my preference be? Sometimes I don't have enough time to hit both gym and cardio. What should I prioritize?

Both. No, I'm just kidding! Alternate days instead of doing cardio and gym the same day. Three days gym, two days cardio, one day rest.

I prefer doing weights to sore out the muscles and empty the depots and afterwards hit it hard on the treadmill - imho the most efficient way to burn
