Upper Body Strength x Women

I want to build shoulder, back and arm strength. My goal to be able to do push-ups and pull ups - what are some of the go-to exercises to build upper body muscle strength in women? Any workouts you swear by on Skimble? I don't go to the gym, I have 5kg, 2kg dumbbells at home. I workout about 5days a week.

just start doing push ups daily in the morning ,,start with any reps, then add one every couple of days, its easy just keep going.

Hello. That's a great goal to have! You can start by strengthening your arms and your core. Core strength is actually very important to these correctly, especially pull ups. Do push ups regularly whenever you have time. Regular push ups or modified ones on your knees. Do them at varying paces if you can. Slow, fast, pause at the bottom, slow descent with fast push back up, etc. Add triceps floor dips as well to get more triceps strength. Also do core exercises like planks, elbow planks, mountain climbers, bear crawl. If you have dumbells, try doing curls to strengthen the biceps. Add some bent over rows for your back, some shoulder presses for the shoulders. Try hanging from a pull up bar as long as you can and adding some "shrugs" to work out the smaller muscle groups and doing this you will eventually be able to do push ups and pull ups. Just be consistent and don't give up! As I always say, even if you can't do it, just try. Even by trying and failing you're working those msucles and progressing towards your end goal!
