Every time i do a work out that involves putting pressure on my shoulders, my left shoulder pops. It actually hurts until it pops again, like popping it back into place. I can't do push ups at all anymore! It's frustrating. Anybody else have this problem, or know what it is atleast?

You should probably check with a doctor, but there are several exercises that can help strengthen your shoulder. I was in a bad car crash and have had shoulder problems since then. Simple shoulder raises, rolls, and using a hand cycle could help

See a doctor, don't workout your shoulders until you know its not a serious issue.

Hydrate. Hydrate. There are tendons in there that if they get dehydrated. Are subject to damage and the popping you are hearing. :-) hope it gets better.

Apart from seeing a physician, I would suggest doing shoulder exercises strictly with light dumbbells. This will allow you to control the amount of weight and, therefore, the amount of stress you are putting on the joint. Whereas in a body-weight exercise, you essentially have no choice in the amount of weight you're using. Also, look up External and Internal Shoulder Rotation exercises. These exercise very small stabilizing muscles which, in your case, may be under-developed and the cause of your problem.

Thats a good point.. Dumbbells would probably reduce the stress a ton. Thnx for the advice!

I would defo see a doctor. Although i do suffer a similiar problem when doing some shoulder exercises. I was told that it was scar tissue rubbing over the bone as scar tissue doesnt move as smoothly as normal tissue/cartlidge. Doesnt cause any pain just an unpleasant noise. Try taking cod liver and glucosimane sulphate to help lubricate the joint.

I will definitely look into that. Thnx!

Sounds like a rotator cuff problem. See a doc and ask him for advice

For my opinion, you should just rest it up for six weeks and see a doctor. That constant dislocation might lead to future problems. See a ortho specialist. Stretches wont hurt as long as you dont hyperextend.
