I have major back spasams but I want to lose wieght,work on abs and more so what can I do...im on heavy pain meds cus nothing else helps
Oh do I feel you! My back is terrible.
Number one, if it hurts and doesn't feel right, don't do it! I can't do the more hardcore ab exercises, so I'll do a variation, like putting my hands under my butt or using a shirt or towel for added support.
Things like tae bo, piloxing and zumba target your abs while you're standing up which I find more comfortable.
I can do most yoga and pilates exercises which really help strengthen your core that in turn helps support your back.
