Shin splints

Does anyone know ways to make shin splints hurt less? I'm already icing.

Sit on a chair and hold your legs off the ground. Write your name in cursive with your feet, then write your name backwards. Do this as much as you can and you will feel a big difference.

During school or work, write the alphabet with your feet. Repeat as much as needed. It'll build muscle and get rid of shin splints.
