I was wondering does anyone know of any breathing techniques that could help me strengthen my lung muscles?

I underwent a pulmonary function test and turns out i suck at exhaling out all the way into the mouth piece. I had to do like three tries till the nurse could find a good reading.

It's been a while since I've blown into balloons or blown candles. I feel as though my lung muscles need good strengthening especially since I'm mildly asthmatic.

Have you learned some basics? Like the most basic but biggest one, try to breathe down into your belly, not up in your chest.

Yeah breathing through your diaphragm?

While on your back, place a book onto your stomach and focus on breathing from your belly to raise and lower the book. You can also work on blowing up balloons.
