Oh my knees!!!

So I am so lost! I have horrible knees and it makes working out extremely tough... especially squats, lunges and things of that nature. Now I know I have to build up the muscle around them but how when it hurts so bad? If anyone has any tips workouts anything please share them!

Are you warming up beforehand? Its really important to do some light jogging, brisk walking, or anything light that involves moving that knee joint to help increase its lubrication. Butt kickers are good to do because they strengthen the hamstring to help balance out quad dominance that most women have. If your knees hurt during your warmups or still during the workout then you may need better shoes.

Also, stretching your quads may make a big difference. Sometimes its not only a strength imbalance but a flexibility issue as well. Good luck! :) Show those knees who's boss!
