Hi I've been wondering if it's okay to eat in the evening. Around 8 or so. If so, what can I eat ?

All depend of your goals.

the CDC is the site my doctor recommends for current, science based information. This is the URL for the U.S. government site's recommendations. It doesn't matter WHEN you eat, but the calorie TOTAL for the whole day matters. I reserve calories for night time now so I can take certain medications, but also so I don't get hungry and eat too many calories.

Yes it is, as long as you eat something healthy and don't exceed your calorie goal for the day. I often eat something like Turkish yoghurt, cottage cheese, hazelnuts or almonds in the evening. What's healthy food of course depends on your diet.
