Need advice on losing weight

Hi,
I am out of shape :( and I am sick to be in this kind of condition and I want to change ! I am not super fit in terms of stamina or fitness but I would consider myself as average though. I would like to seek advice on any workout that are great for weight loss (with or without gym equipment) . Thanks in advance.

Interval training - 30 to 60 seconds jogging followed by 30 to 60 seconds sprinting and so on. Do this routine for 10 mins to start with and work your way up to longer sessions. Any exercise that uses big muscles e.g. squats is great for burning fat.
