I've been working out (primarily HIIT) 3-5 days a week for 4 months except this past week because of Thanksgiving/family time. Yet I've only gained weight. I've truly watched my eating habits without counting calories. I hate to run but that's how I lost weight in high school. I love HIIT-fast, simple-but it's obviously not working. I'd try running again, but I know I won't stick to it because I didn't before and hate it. I want a healthy lifestyle for the rest of my life. I'm not looking for another quick fix where I'll only end up gaining even more weight when it gets too hard. I've never weighed this much before and it's killing me. I want slow, effective, and healthy change that will last. Also, it's mainly my belly that frustrates me, but I know I can't target that. Please help!

How much time are you working out? I ask cuz a few fifteen minute workouts aren't gonna make that big a difference... Theyll help condition your body some, but as far as weight loss calories, losing weight just from working out is a LOT of work.

Give calorie counting a try, even if you don't stick with it, it can offer a whole new perspective on things. The apps available nowadays make it a much more practical approach, too.
Thanks! I counted before so I can do it again. I usually do about 30 minute workouts. If I do a shorter one, I usually go for a fast-paced walk or add another short workout to equal a half hour.
If ur not use to it all go slowly do Cardio every day whether u r lifting or not try incresing th amount and intinsity as u go along not all at once always push youself...also make a food journal write down everything u eat and drink for a week make sure tht ur not consuming more calories thn u need finding ur daily requirments is a good idea thn subtract tht number by 500 ths will create wats called a caloric deficet and as long as ur in a caloric deficet its impossible for u to gain fat notice i didn't say weight weight gain can b more thn fat...it cud also b muscle which weighs more thn fat and also water retention will add weight as well try to stay off th scale and weigh and measure once a week its very possible to gain weight on th scale and lose inches which means uve lost fat and hav gained lean muscle ..I'm confused as to y people assume tht because ur female u won't grow muscle mass without steroids as a girl thts lifted weights most my life one look at my shoulders and u can tell I've lifted a weight or two..our bodies respond to whatever stress we put it through and adapt accordingly I've never taken steroids in my life granted our bodies develop different and still look different a woman can indeed gain muscle mass if thts wat sh trains for..its really how we train more thn if we r male or female testasterone can't remember how to spell it is only one factor in several several factors...but u won't look like sh hulk if u don't train like sh hulk so no worries weightlifting is a science...bodybuilding.com is a great site to learn frm i use it all th time dnt get discouraged it takes time patience and a little trial and error..also look into circuit training th sky is th limit out their I'm sure u can find something u lov and never hav to run again if u dnt want to keep going u will get there
