Help losing weight

So I've been pretty active before but with school and other things I became inactive for a while. I'm 5'6 , 17 years old and I weigh 130-140ish though not overweight, I want to lose weight to get the body I want. ( need to be about 120ish.) I tried hard for a while but it was kind of a fail. What do you guys suggest I should do. All advice will be appreciated.

Normally if you want to lose weight you need to watch your food intake and exerxise regularly it takes time but you will see results. Good luck to u
