Slow and steady wins the race. Typically if someone goes on a crash diet and rapid weight loss is seen, they will gain it right back. Look towards losing 1 pound a week. Focus on your diet and eat healthy(fruits, vegetables, nuts, whole grains, water, green tea and fish/chicken for your meats.) Its okay to treat your self to a sweet every now and then, just be smart.
As far as exercise goes, you can never go wrong with cardio and weights, take your pick, this app is full of great total body programs, you get out what you put in so don't be afraid to push yourself.
