There was a lady in my zumba class and she said that drinking water while sweating is bad since it stops burning calories . Well , I really get thirsty while exercising and I sip water during exercise and a glass after.
So I just wanted to know whether there is any logic to her claim.
Thanks . I thought so too but I needed some reassurance .
No, drinking water is good and is what you should be doing is you are sweating. I have even heard that drinking cold water burns more calories than room temp. water because your body will then burn more to regulate your body temp. Not sure if I buy it, but is something I heard once, regardless you should still drink water
That whole "it stops burning calories" thing just doesn't even make sense. It doesn't work like that.
