Getting back healthy and in shape

Hi people i am 32 years old my height is 5 feet 9 inches i am 72 kilos.. I am mostly normal looking.(not fat neither thin) but ive got a belly from the time i remember.. And now i wanna get in shape and get rid of that ugly
belly. I have started running and doing a few ab workouts for starters. I am a heavy smoker and now reducing it too as i cant. run effectively along with smoking.. Need help in improving stamina and getting overall body in a decent shape along with good diet. I got 6months as my goal. Please advise
