Instead of typing a new topic for why you can't lose you belly fat whether it's from kids or just diet, try searching for because these questions pop up time and time again and mostly get answered by the same people. You'll find the answers you need and if not then start a new one. Just a thought, might save some time for both sides and you're guaranteed an answer.

Great call Tyson. Your comment is falling on deaf, non-compliant ears but. Me and others have tried before, but no joy. All the best.

Haha thanks Duncan. Your post must be lost under all the repetitive BS to, because I scrolled a long way down. I've given up on helping individual people now and just tell them to go through my posts because I'm tired of repeating myself.

This post will be hidden under the moutain of posts its criticises!

I agree its easier and faster to search but also think skimble need to rearrange, remove and allow user modification to the forums...i.e I want to see whats in recent, which can bypass a lot of junk 'lets be friends' or workout buddies needed' etc and do we need a age related section or half of them tbh.

And as other web forums they have 'stickys' which are at the top of each forums containing the most common answers and questions or direct to previous posts.

But I do as anyone else does have the option to ignore or reply to any post!

Its all deaf ears as Duncan says...not even skimble listen!

21 Jan
Oh for sure it will, I'm just happy knowing at least two people have read this lol. I'm sure skimble will work on something. My aim wasn't just to see less of the same posts but to try and help people from being so lazy (part of the reason they use this app) and have people get the answers they're chasing rather than joining the mountain of unanswered posts. No skin off my nose whether they get replies or not though.

Thanks for the feedback! Our community management features are certainly limited since we're basically a 4 person operation. We definitely have been tossing around the idea of having some sort of community admin feature for some of our users but unfortunately other issues have arisen recently that we need to focus on *currently. If you guys do have this kind of feedback though, we recommend putting it under the Suggestion Box or Feedback forum for Workout Trainer, since we check that a couple times a week. Thanks again for the suggestions-- we'll see what we can do.

Have you thought about asking certain skimblers to assist with the app on a voluntary basis? I'm sure some of us would be happy to help and could bring certain skill-sets to the table to help you guys.
23 Jan
I have to say something, as fast as my post has come done, you could honestly remove these ones just as easy! Keeping a post up of someone eating 400-600 calories is totally ludicrous and it stays up? To boot someone telks them to keep up the great work! Seriously? Quite honestly i like this site but you really have to do something as a person who uses this site and does do there research I am disturbed!

There are some terrible topics posted unfortunately Dawna, which is a shame, but that's society for you. All we can do is report them & hope they don't influence too many people. In the 2 years I've been using this app I've seen marital arguments, full-on insults, porn, crazy diet suggestions, anorexia (encouraging it!!), someone talking about suicide.... The list goes on. I just don't let it get to me & sometimes take a break from the topics. The block function was a brilliant addition to the app, there were WAY MORE crazies in here before then. And don't get...

If I respond to one more private message only for that person to then disappear, well, in the words of Liam Neeson "I'm going to find them. And I'm going to kill them"

I don't copy and paste responses I type them all up individually and it's damn annoying when that person then disappears. Grrrrrr

Well done for trying though Tyson. I now just type stuff into a topic that pops into my head without wanting people to respond. I maintain my sanity that way.
" I want followers"?!?!?! Oh pleeeease... **** off and scream that at your local gym.. See where that get ya!!!!!!  what are you gonna do with 'followers' on here?!!?????!

(Deep breaths)

Haha way to make me laugh, good on ya Scott. But yeah I'm hearing ya champ, I've not been on as long as you but I've already had a few houdinis and yeah they've all been given free time and effort to be provided with an answer only to never hear back. As well as providing helpful posts for people to read and follow, great part is some are following one or two.

Lol... agree with the followers bit, its like facebook adding the brother of the guy who works in the shop just so you look popular with 100s of friends!

I can count on one hand the amount Ive followed and it was due to them doing similar things to me, thou I do follow every follower and help where I can even with motivation or if something impresses me etc.

The community is a great concept with poor execution I think. Needs a little bit more ground work to bring up to spec.

I actually enjoy helping people but society is filled with people wanting quick fixes or miraculous answers. Please & thank you is disappearing & it's easy to ask for 'help' and then disregard it like it's a leftover pizza slice!

Im a nice guy but I lack patience with people determined to look for excuses as to why their fat asses keep getting bigger.

I was thin & healthy. I was also fat & unhealthy.
Life is tough. Nut up or shut up!

(I think I need to eat again!!)

Ok I have a dumb question.....
Am I allowed to post something called my goals? I am tracking what I am doing and not asking for any help, when I first started I did but I gave up, just thought someone could help with celiac...lol
Thanks and have a great day! ☺

21 Jan
Lol post whatever ya like, we're not skimble police. Was just a courteous post of advice that's going to go nowhere fast. And the topic which you're referring to is a more than reasonable post to put up and we're not talking about things like that. I'm sorry no one could help with your celiacs issues, I'm sure there is someone who could but they're all to busy filtering through the other stuff.
28 Jan
Hi there, my diet is also wheat free and doing just fine. You are welcome to chat with me
28 Jan
Thanks Maria, I have had Celiac for 11 years! I actually got this figured out but thanks for offering!

This post was put in place to help people like me who, when I was first here, put up a post asking if there were any Aussies. Now to my surprise it didn't take off like I thought but that's probably because there had already been several posts of the same topic and people weren't going to reply to all of them. Now I didn't know about the search function at the time and later discovered there were several posts and lots of aussies... I just had to look. The same goes for most other things people ask because a lot are very general about their questions. If its specific and you need a certain answer then a search may not reveal what you're after. That's all.

Hi Dawna,
I did something similar back in December and will be doing the same in February

Some of us just get a little confused as to why people use a workout app for something other than actually working out.
Good luck with your search to get advice on celiacs, sorry I don't have enough experience of it either

Hi Scotty,

I hear you about this site! I think since I have joined,  (which is just recently)
I have noticed it's used for other things than what it is meant for! Which is disappointing because it is a good site and it is taking away from the people who want it for the reason it is here! I
have used it and taken some ideas and incorporated it into my workouts!
I do do research and look at people's profiles (people who are serious) and have gotten diet ideas from them! My diet is hard because it needs to be wheat free and can get boring at times!
I am far from a beginner in the weight training (training on and off for 15 yrs)
It is just nice to get a different persons respective that you could try different, sometimes we just hit a plateau(wall) and you can never have too much knowledge of something!
Hahahaha hopefully this all makes sense, I am a woman and could blab.....lol I did see your 30 day workout and it's good,  I thought if I could track mine for the hard core plan I am doing for 16 weeks or so, it would help me stay on track! OK that's all....lol

21 Jan
Sorry Dawna. During my after work shower I got pondering about coeliacs (yeah that's how it's spelt here) and realised I got it confused with chron's disease and I know quiet a bit about dealing with the issue. I pretty much run a successful gluten free diet myself anyway. Humans weren't meant to eat wheat or food containing gluten anyway apparently so I steer clear from it most chances I can. Anything I might be able to help with feel free to drop me a message.

Nice to hear Dawna!! And I don't think you're blabbing, it's actually nice to see more words than "follower" and "motivation"!

Good luck with your program, I'm still choosing my after taking 2 weeks off from a strict plan... I've still been working out though! Honest!!!

Thanks Tyson

I was just having problems with my breakfast! As I have all my snacks lunches and dinners all figured out!
I was just getting tired of the same old stuff!  I am pretty healthy in my choices as I have no choice, I am not a junk eater!
I found a fitness site and was able to get more recipes! And yes us Canadians have a great way of saying things....lol

I thought that was your point Tyson. And what Matthew says is right too. A better search function and better organized forums would be the go too. At least we tried eh.

Haha, classic , Scotty. True but, mate. Right on Tyson, that, sadly, is the general pattern of how it tends to go on here shame, but true.

22 Jan
Even if the app helps a handful of people, like me, get healthy again it's worth it though
