Will you enjoy life? I do have a very simple rule to loose weight: What ever you are eating eat only one plate and don't stack it. I also like pizza and hamburgers on occasions but don't make an occasion a regular thing. That's weekend food. Work hard during the week to reward yourself. I don't eat sweets and drink no fizzy drinks.
