Heavy legs while running

Im just starting back my running after having a baby 12 weeks ago. I used to be a active runner but i hsvent really done any running in about 3 years. But to help with weight loss and pnd im getting back into it. My problem is tho my legs feel really heavy soon as i start running. Anyone have any tips to fix this? Or why its happening?

heavy legs might be from overstriding or knees coming up too high. congrats on the baby! start running slow and work on good form. you want to get your muscles programmed to run again so slow and steady is key. take shorter steps will help keep good form

As your body gradually gets use to running again, the heaviness should go away. Just be sure that you are consistent with your runsĀ

Ya I know the feeling you. It mostly occurs when u stop Exercising for a long time. Keep practicing u will not feel it again. [Practice makes permanent].
