Importance of sleep

I get about 5 hours a sleep/night. How impactful is getting enough sleep at night in losing weight ?

EXTREMELY IMPORTANT. Getting enough sleep is basic to losing and maintaining weight. Not sleeping enough can stimulate appetite and weight gain, or just not losing. Read about sleep and your hormones.

✅ - Usually around 7 to 8 hours for most adults. Gives you the stamina for everyday life AND good workouts.

Sleep is a great factor in everything. Not sleeping enough or working very irregular shifts. Messes with your body. This will make it harder to lose weight, gain muscle and feel good in general. So enough sleep is important and regular sleeping times (during the night) is optimal.

I wish I could get a full night's rest (7-8 hours) but my baby doesn't let me sleep and I let that affect my eating and gained back some weight I previously lost. Sleep does matter. I get an average of 3-5 hours of sleep a night.
