Anyone have any pointers for beginner vegetarians. I'm very new to it and would like some ideas or maybe pointers to stay on this positive green path.

Do you mix yourself green smoothies? A daily bowl of mixed and green salad before lunch will also enrich your daily diet. Try and consume as many organic veggies and fruit as possible. To spontaneously comment on possible vitamin and other deficiencies: Only getting those parameters (levels) checked will tell you clearly about how and what you need to fill up or reduce. This is more of a general statement. Mane there are local groups where ' vegans' and vegetarians meet and socialize. You may also find helpful info on that online through search engines or other networking sites.

There's now so much information out there that it's easier than ever to be a healthy vegetarian. I would recommend, if you haven't already, do some googling into the most common problems, or deficiencies, with transitioning vegetarians, so that you don't start out immediately deficient in some important nutrient.
It helps to have a good support network. Ages ago, when I was vegan, my girlfriend was vegan too, so that made things a lot easier, and more of an adventure. But close friends, or nowadays even social media can play a large part in feeling that positive reinforcement and connection. I don't see a lot about vegetarian living on here, but there's gotta be some internet communities.. Facebook group pages are what first comes to mind.
