How long should I work out a day?

hello, i would say 45 min to 1hour for weight trainings..and endurance sports : 1h to 2h or less

The average time is about 90 minutes -- if you're just starting out. More advanced people need about two to three hours because they have more to do.

right. But, what if i dont have time to get a 1 1/2 hour workoit in??

I do what I can sometimes that's 30 minutes a day. I'm working on losing weight, and with a baby, it's hard to workout for an hour or longer.

Aint that the truth. I have a toddler so i cab get by with 20-25 mins...that and intermittent fasting seems to work for me.
