The best way to lose weight, in regards to exercise, is to incorporate both energy systems, the anaerobic and aerobic. Including mixed energy systems within a session improves cardio strength allowing your body to endure higher intense workouts in the future. In order to lose weight, it is important to tap into fat storages through the oxygen dependent system. The only way to break and release fat storages is by utilizing instant energy/glucose first. Depleting carbs with high intensity weight training with a followed 10-15 minute cardio session or even simply a HIIT workout should shed excess body fat in no time!

Hello Ellie, That is good advice Neil gave is his post. I would suggest a few things to help you have success. Make a diary of what you are eating and when and your daily activity. This will provide you with data to compare to recommended calorie intake for activity level. Lower body exercises that activate the glutes will shape and lift that muscle group.
