What if a person stops eating? He/she has only one meal a day.

A friend of mine after having been called "fatso" for 4 years has stopped eating. Almost. She has just 1 meal a day. That too so less that it barely makes a difference. Will this help her in anyway? Or worsen her already poor health?

That is a very bad idea.  I've wrestled for 4 years and have figured out  when you consume such a small amount of calories a day  that your body makes up for it by lowering your motabalism rate and burns less calories. This will actually make losing weight more difficult then if she would eat 4-5 small meals a day .

It's already been stated but reducing meals to just once a day is bad, even worse if its not that much of a meal. Your body will desperately try's store energy (lower metabolism) which will result in your body transforming as much of what it takes in to fat to be stored for later use. This also has the added effect of making the person lazy/tired so there is a double neg.
