Just take one day at a time. When you eat, start using a smaller plate and when you finish, stop. Each day, replace one glass of soda with water. Better yet, keep water in front of you and when you get thirsty, grab it. If you need, put lemon, lime or some other fruit in the water. Exercise as much as you can in little ways...taking stairs, parking away from the stores, taking the longest walking route wherever you go. The more you move, the more you will want to move! If you are thoughtful about how and what you eat, you won't have to completely give up things you love. I eat a carb conscious diet (not really diet) during the week. I eat most of my carbs early in the day when the body is processing at its peak. At night, I eat a protein and a vegetable. On the weekend, i go to buffets, but the difference is, I can't eat as much and I try to have a plate with lots of color. That usually means you are eating veggies. You can do it!
