I know pasta bloats your body but is it also true that it can make you gain weight ?

Pasta is good fpr ypu befpre an intense workout or after its a complex carb and there for slowly feeds your muscles with energy!

When I did swim team they said to eat pasta and less meats before swimming but how for that help with weight loss? Or does it?

The only way it can help with weight loss is by giving you the energy to get thru your workouts
